McEntire Joint National Guard Base is home to the 169th Fighter Wing and its flying unit, the 157th Fighter Squadron.  Operating the Block 52 F-16C as a dedicated SEAD unit under its Federal mission, the Swamp Foxes of the 157th deployed to the Middle East in early 2026 in support of OPERATION EPIC FURY.  

Operating some of the most advanced and capable F-16s in the USAF inventory, the Swamp Foxes flew numerous missions, with a tremendous array of ordnance and configurations. One of their operational firsts was to deploy with the ANGRY KITTEN electronic warfare pod, using it as self-protection for a blue-air role in combat.
