Rolled out in late 2022, this colorful offering from the 309th Fighter Squadron recognizes the end of F-16 operations at Luke AFB, as the final Block 25 airframes of the 309th Fighter Squadron "Wild Ducks" prepare to depart. As F-35 operations have gradually taken over, the Ducks remain the last of the F-16 operators at Luke, and are slowly drawing down their fleet.
Since 1942, the Wild Ducks have established an immense heritage, and carried their unique, immediately recognizable livery and patches across multiple airframes. This special heritage flagship helps close out their F-16 chapter, as the Ducks look to the future.
