In late 2020, the Bolars of the 492nd Fighter Squadron and Aircraft Maintenance Unit deployed their F-15E Strike Eagles to an undisclosed locations in the Middle East in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE. Flying over 8,500 combat hours and deploying 350 precision weapons, the Madhatters provided flawless combat airpower to CENTCOM's AOR.
While deployed, the squadron's aircraft received 18 uniquely distinct nicknames and corresponding nose art, all themed around infamous villains from pop culture, comics, and literature. This print captures the artwork and heritage of the deployment, the unique mission markings, and one of the most common operational configurations flown by Strike Eagles in current operations in the Central Command AOR.
